Voice recording is provided via a new Belkin Voice Recorder which plugs straight into the iPod and on a 40GB model can record up to 600 hours of audio. The Belkin iPod Memory Reader reads the five most common types of memory card - CompactFlash, SmartMedia, MemoryStick, SD and MMC - and enables the iPod to store images from a digital camera. On a Mac, iPhoto automatically recognises the iPod and allows users to transfer the images direct into its library.
Both the voice recorder and the card reader are available from the Apple Store, priced £39 and £89 respectively.
Both devices require the iPOd Software 2.1 Updater, which also provides the ability to sync On-The-Go playlists back to iTunes and a Music Quiz game which tests your knowledge of your own music library.
