Executive Software has announced Diskeeper 8.0, the first defragmentation utility able to handle volumes up to 4Terabytes.
As well as defragmenting huge disks with its Terabyte Volume Engine, Diskeeper 8.0 can also defragment up to sixteen disk volumes (logical drives) simultaneously.
A new interface shows the effect on performance of fragmented drives and information on the machines on the network, including generating a New machine Report that contains information such as machine URL, Diskeeper edition and version, volume size, free space, next scheduled defrag, and boot-time schedule details.
Diskeeper 8.0 ships as specialised editions designed for each 'flavour' of the Windows 2003 server platform and for desktop editions from Windows 95 and upwards.
It is available from www.executivesoftware.co.uk.
