Intel bullish on third quarter revenues

Chip giant Intel has announced that it expects revenues for the third quarter of this year to be in the range of $7.6bn to $7.8bn.

This compares with its previous estimate of $7.3bn to $7.8bn predicted on 22 August. Intel says its core x86 business remains strong, particularly in emerging markets. However it warned that demand for its comms products remains in the doldrums.
