The SCO group has reported profits of $3.1 million on revenue of $20.1 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2003. This compares with a loss of $4.5 million on revenue of $15.4 million in the equivalent quarter of last year.
The difference has largely been due to the diligence of SCOsource, the licensing division.
During the quarter SCOsource generated $7.3 million in revenue of which $5.6 million was profit. It therefore comes as little surprise to hear Dan McBride, the President and CEO state that the company intends, 'to use this capital to continue our intellectual property protection and licensing initiative'.
