For those who chase Mozilla's tail, an alpha of 1.5 has been released.
There are new versions for Windows (11.6MB), Mac OS X (14.9MB) and Linux (14.1MB), but nothing earth shattering has been added to the open source browser, messaging and email client.
Mozilla 1.5 Alpha Release Notes can be read at mozilla.org and they indicate just a few changes. These include logging facilities for Chatzilla - incidentally a feature that Microsoft thought worthy of adding to Messenger 6 - improvements to Mozilla Composer (the handling of images within HTML email) and Source View now uses an editor instead of a simple text area.
For browsing, there are a number of changes to the handling of tabs and bookmark groups. You can now use the back button after loading a bookmark group to restore the previous set of tabs, and a confirmation dialog has been added for closing a window with multiple tabs.
You can read the full details in the changelog.
