Hi-Grade's new Notino C6700 series notebooks follow the Intel Centrino path to wireless computing.
Containing a 1.7GHz Pentium M processor (with 1MB of level 2 cache), an Intel 855PM chipset and built-in (802.11b) wireless LAN adaptor, the notebooks with WXGA+ 15.2in displays carry an impressive spec.
The cheapest Notino C6700-1500 - which has 256MB DDR RAM, a 30GB hard drive, Nvidia's GeForce FX Go 5200 mobile GPU, and CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo - costs £1,099 (ex VAT). There are two USB ports and one Type II PC-card slot. Bundled software includes Windows XP Home edition and Microsoft Works v7.
For £1,399 (ex VAT) your money gets you a Notino C6700-1500-1 (pictured), with 512MB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive and a DVD writer.
For both models there is a 2-year international collect and return warranty. More info can be found at the Hi-Grade website.
