Networking specialist Novell has today introduced the Nterprise Linux Services, providing file, print, messaging, directory and management services in a single bundle.

Novell Nterprise Linux Services gives customers integrated file, print, messaging, directory and management. Novell will be supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server editions along with strategic consulting and technical support services.

The new services are part of Novell's strategy to port all its advanced network services for business on Linux.

Amongst the companies who have said they will back the new offerings are IBM and Hewlett-Packard. IBM has said it will roll out the product on the eServer xSeries servers, with support for IBM eServer zSeries and eServer iSeries machines. IBM says that support for the eServer pSeries servers will follow in due course. HP says it will roll the services out on selected models in it's Proliant range in July.

More details of Novell's Linux strategy is on the Novell web site
