Lindows: SCO has no beef with us

Popular Linux distro Lindows says that a separate agreement it made in 2001 means its customers won't be receiving nasty letters from SCO.
Lindows claims 'a business agreement' with SCO, then called Caldera, was reached in late 2001 whereby SCO agreed to supply technology to Lindows for 'certain considerations'. It claims this agreement is still in effect.
'We're in an unique situation because of our pre-existing relationship with SCO,' said Michael Robertson, CEO of Lindows.com. 'We want to take this opportunity to emphasize there are no issues between SCO and Lindows.com... SCO has publicly stated they will continue to honour all contractual obligations with existing customers including product updates, service, and support. Businesses, educational institutions and home users of LindowsOS can be confident they will not be dragged into a legal battle.'
Lindows has not taken sides with regard to SCO's allegations of Unix code misappropriation by IBM and the Linux community.
