The people behind OpenOffice.org - the open source productivity suite - have announced a new project. The idea is to provide a repository for assorted scripts and macros that have been posted to OpenOffice.org.
The Scripting project will also act as a forum for discussing the development of new scripts for the office suite. Among the goals for the project are to encourage further people to contribute scripts and to encourage udders to identify common tasks that could be automated.
You can find more details on the Scripting project at Web site.
Currently it has an 'incubator project' status, but if the scripting initiative proves popular and successful, it may be upgraded to full project status.
