I've downloaded the sample. Will read it after I have finished the book I am currently reading.

Magazines?
Can you start doing the magazines via Kindle? It would be so good.

Whats new?
How much of this is new material? I.e not previously published in magazine?
By saqib_ on 11 May 2011 ![]()
As a long-term subscriber, I see nothing in the new book that I haven't previously paid for in the magazine.
By Ex_Sailor on 11 May 2011 ![]()
The book is a compendium of articles previously published in the magazine and on the PC Pro website.

Will buy
Hmm as a long term subscriber I've probably read all of these.
But I'll be downloading the kindle app (for the first time) to buy this.
I only ever keep 2-3 old issues and a small collection of what should be good articles might be worth the £3.

Nice idea - downloaded.

Worth buying for Stuart Turton's piece on the Kindle, alone.

useless waste of money
Paid and downloaded only to get a page asking me to subscibe to PC pro. Why should I pay twice?
By curiousclive on 27 Aug 2011 ![]()
@Curiousclive
Clive - presumably you didn't get only the subscription page, but the other 300-odd pages of content?

Pc pro Magazine on Kindle
Hi Barry...how about a kindle edition of Pc Pro Magazine ??
By sree_ on 30 Sep 2011 ![]()
@sree
Magazine publishers seem slow to move to digital platforms like this. Why isn't PC Pro already on Kindle. I see it's on the iPad, but the review stating it's horrible to navigate shows there's a way to go. I'd like to see PC Pro review their own app in a future issue!

Magazines & E-Readers
With the current state of e-readers, magazines containing lots of high quality pictures are at a disadvantage compared to their more text orientated rivals

ebook
This should be free to subscribers who have already paid for the content. As a long time subscriber I am currently finding it difficult to justify continuation of my subscription and this is just another nail in your coffin.

1 year old?
I purchased this about a year ago, it was a good read but why are you advertising it as:
"Provoke: A Collection of Today's Finest Tech Writing is a hand-picked selection of more than 40 of the best features, columns and blogs from PC Pro over the past year"?
Its a year old now unless you have updated it?
