The Internet standards body W3C updates its MarkUp Validation Service.

The Internet standards body W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) has updated its MarkUp Validation Service. This is a free service that checks documents like HTML and XHTML for conformance to W3C Recommendations.

Just enter a URL, or the location of a local file, and press the validate button to check your conformance....

Changes for this version include an improved layout for validation results and a 'tip of the day' feature. More substantially, support for MathML is reported by the W3C as being 'back in good shape', SVG (scalable vector graphics) is supported, and there is improved handling of XHTML.

Internal restructuring of the program means it should also be better in terms of memory consumption.

You can try out the Validator yourself at validator.w3.org.
