Vodafone has officially unveiled its iPhone 4 price list, after leaking a "test page" earlier this week.

The official prices are slightly higher than the leaked list, bringing Vodafone relatively in line with those already released by rivals O2 and Orange.

Vodafone's tactics are near identical to the unveiling of its iPad data plans, when initial figures were "leaked", only for Vodafone to later bring them into line with its rivals.

Vodafone is charging the same up-front cost for the iPhone 4 whether customers commit to a 18-month or two-year contract, although the monthly charge for calls and texts will differ by £5.

Customers will be able to pick up the 16GB version starting from £219 for £25 a month on a two-year contract, or £30 on an 18-month contract - which is £30 more expensive than the leaked list.

The 32GB version will start from £309 on either a £25 or £30 contract, costing £29 more than the leaked list. The 16GB edition will be available free on a £60 contract across two years, or £65 across 18 months.

Vodafone is also offering the 16GB iPhone 4 from £100 on business plans, and will offer a pay-as-you-go plan in July, with pricing details unveiled soon.

Of the mobile operators that have released their iPhone 4 prices, Vodafone offers the highest data download limit at 1GB. O2 recently capped its mobile data at 500MB, while Orange limits its at 750MB.

Vodafone isn't yet taking pre-orders. With record demand, even the Apple store has had to push back iPhone 4 deliveries from the 24 June launch date, with new orders set to arrive in mid-July.

Agree 100%. If it was Microsoft rather than Apple the EU would be filing a lawsuit against them.

It's the mobile operators, not Apple. Apple only has a monopoly over the manufacture of the iPhone.
