Acer is reportedly planning to release an ultrathin frameless laptop.
The computer will feature a touchscreen keyboard and use the back of the screen’s glass substrate as a cover, according to a report in the DigiTimes
The reinforced glass substrate being used for the laptop is the same as those used in LCD TVs, and the back will be printed with colour to give the illusion of a conventional laptop cover, the report claims.
The frameless laptop will be launched in the second half of this year, using a screen manufactured by Corning.
A spokesman for Acer said there was no official confirmation of any such product.
