Dell has announced that its highly anticipated Alienware M11x will be available in the UK from £749 including VAT and delivery.
The Alienware M11x has been described by Dell as an 11in "ultra-mobile laptop with all the power of a 15in laptop". Despite its small screen - which will display in 720p HD - the M11x is powered by a Nvidia GT335M graphics card, which will offer two hours of gaming life.

The standard model will feature an Intel 1.3Ghz CULV SU4100 processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 320GB GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium.
The same model is available in the US for $799 though Dell was keen to point out that "the Dell US price doesn't include tax or shipping". The company also noted that the UK features a 320GB hard drive as standard, rather than the 160GB offered in the US model.
Anybody with cash to burn could upgrade to the full fat version of the Alienware M11x, featuring 8GB DDR3 RAM, a 500GB Serial ATA Hard Drive, and a 1.3Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor. They can expect to pay a princely £1,588.
Intel claims the M11x will play Crysis at 60fps and Modern Warfare 2 at over 30fps in full-HD mode and settings set to high.

Cool, but...
This is exactly the kind of laptop I want. 11" screen but with power.
But as milliganp points out, the UK price hike is a rip.
And why do all the Alienware laptops have to look like something out of Knightrider? A an ugly box, do gamers have no taste?

CPU?
Can the CPU actually handle games? Seems a bit slow...
