Acer has reported a spike in sales as a result of the recently launched Windows 7.
"When we saw the features of Windows 7, we already knew that it would be good for demand," says Acer chief executive Gianfranco Lanci. "We have no plans to revise."
According to Acer's chief executive, the company is anticipating 15% sales growth next year.
The market leader in netbooks expects sales during the October to December quarter to stay flat from the previous quarter, but rise 25% on the previous year.
Acer's not the only PC maker to report a surge in sales due to Windows 7. HP and Dell, the world's largest and third-largest PC makers respectively, have also raised their annual outlook.
Acer, which expects 50% growth in the global netbook market to 42 million units in 2010, reported a quarterly net profit of $108 million last month, up 14% from a year earlier.
