System Administrator Appreciation Day

Not much loved and much misunderstood, that's your system administrator. And in case you didn't realise, the last Friday in July is System Administrator Day...
At least according to the site www.SysAdminDay.com it is.
The site marks the role of the 'person who really keeps the wheels of your company turning'. Sections include 'Gift Ideas' (including a case of Frappucino and Java-enabled mobile phones), 'What to avoid' (mousepads and mugs with marketing logos) and examples of Sys Admin Humour (including Advice to employees on the proper use of the System Administrator's valuable time).
Designed to be a broad church the day is intended to celebrate the work all unsung sysadmin, including - so the site details - Network Administrators, Webmasters, Telephone (PBX) Administrators, DBAs (Database Administrators), Novell GroupWise Administrators, MS Exchange Administrators, and - lest we forget - IBM Mainframe Systems Programmers ('sysprogs').
As for the sysadmins here at Dennis, every day is sysadmin day - at least it seems that way (only joking, Danny).
