There are still hopes to sell it as an ongoing concern.
The accountancy firm BDO Stoy Howard has confirmed to us that Dan Technologies is now officially under administration. The computer maker went into administrative receivership on 6 June.
BDO Stoy Howard is looking to find a buyer for Dan Technology who will not only preserve it as a going concern but continue to uphold existing warranties. BDO says Dan was sunk by 'cash flow difficulties'.
We were told that the administrator 'in the interim will be seeking to fulfil customer orders where they've been invoiced'. The business is continuing to trade on a restricted basis.
A spokesperson for the administrative receivers said: 'We understand that this is a very difficult time and we are working as quickly as we can to clear up any confusion and clarify the situation for creditors, employees and customers.'
We are awaiting the official contact details for Dan customers and will post them here when they become available.
