Psion has settled its lawsuit with Intel over the use of the netbook name.
Neither company will comment beyond the details of the brief press release, but Psion has confirmed it is withdrawing its claim to the netbook trademark it secured in the late 1990s.
The financial details of the settlement were not discussed, though the companies claim it is "an amicable arrangement".
Intel says it has not accepted any level of liability in the case which kicked off back in March when Psion accused the chip giant of "deceiving" the public over the netbook name. Both Intel and Dell promptly petitioned the courts to strip Psion of its trademark, claiming the term has now become generic.
The deal means that Psion will not seek damages from manufacturers using the netbook name.
