Nokia has announced a deal with Orange to finally launch Comes with Music, the all you can eat music store for its 5800 XpressMusic smartphone.
Nokia unveiled its Comes with Music service last October, but has struggled to sign up an operator to offer the service in the UK.
However, Orange has now taken the plunge and will offer a free Nokia 5800 handset loaded with Comes with Music on two year contracts beginning at £25.
Aside from the unusually long contract, XpressMusic owners also have to contend with DRM - meaning that while you can download as many tracks as you want in a month, they are tied to the handset and one other machine.
Despite the lack of Comes With Music, Nokia has still managed to sell 2.6 million of its XpressMusic smartphones in the first quarter, making it the top revenue and gross margin contributor in the lineup. Apple sold 3.9 million iPhones in the quarter.
