Budget BeBook eBook reader on way

Endless Imagination is releasing a 5in BeBook eBook reader, as it looks to take a foothold in the value end of the market.
Dubbed the BeBook Mini, the screen shaves an inch off the original BeBook. It will also feature a faster processor, which should hopefully speed up page turn times.
Endless Imagination has not confirmed specs or a price yet, beyond the promise that they will be "competitive".
However, according to an article in Wired the company is aiming to hit the magical sub-$200 figure, equating to around £135. If true, it would put serious distance between the BeBook and its rivals which tend to be priced around £200.
We reviewed the original BeBook back in October and while we were impressed by the wide-ranging format support, the cheap build quality left us cold in comparison to the similarly priced Sony PRS-505.
This concern looks like being addressed in the forthcoming BeBook 2. Expected in the latter half of 2009, the BeBook 2 will improve on its forbear with a more streamlined case, Wi-Fi, 3G and a touchscreen.
