Spotify starts delivering downloads

Music streaming service Spotify has signed a deal with 7Digital allowing users to purchase tracks.
In the first instance the deal simply allows users to right click on a track, which brings up a "by from" box. Clicking 7Digital then redirects to the relevant page on the website.
However, Spotify says it's working on integrating the technology to allow users to purchase tracks without leaving the service. This will take the form of a one-click download option, according to a Spotify spokesperson.
Intriguingly, the "buy from" box leaves space for other download services to be added, suggesting Spotify could one day offer a list of sites, allowing users to pick and choose. The spokesperson wasn't able to confirm whether this was the case at the time of writing.
7Digital offers DRM-free, 320Kbits/sec MP3 tracks, with singles typically costing 79p and albums around £8.
We're quite big fans of Spotify in the PC Pro office, read the blog to find out why.
