Trio of fixes arriving on Patch Tuesday

Sys admins are set for a relatively quiet Patch Tuesday with Microsoft issuing only three security updates this month.
Only one of the three carries the "critical" tag: a remote code execution flaw that affects Windows 2000, XP and Vista, as well as Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
Microsoft is offering no further detail on the exploit.
The other two are both concerned with spoofing and are rated as "important" updates.
One of the spoofing flaws affects the whole spectrum of Windows versions, while the other is confined to the Server versions of the OS.
All three patches will require Windows to be restarted when complete.
Last week it was revealed that Microsoft's Internet Explorer suffered 31 security vulnerabilities last year, less than a third of the number reported by chief rival Firefox. However, Microsoft did take far longer to fix flaws than its open-source rival.
