Asus has teamed up with Garmin to launch a range of co-branded smartphones.
The first device to arrive bearing the slightly unwieldy "Garmin-Asus" moniker will be Garmin's long-rumoured nuvifone, now dubbed the G60.
Garmin originally slated the G60 for release in the fourth quarter of 2008, but had to delay the launch due to financial worries concerns.
The companies now say the phone will be launched in the first half of 2009 and is set to make an appearance at this month's Mobile World Congress.
The partners say they will be looking to push Garmin's satellite navigation technology to the forefront of new devices, several of which will arrive throughout 2009.
All of which will "offer the same turn-by-turn, voice-prompted navigation features found on high-end Garmin portable navigation devices," says a statement from the company.
