Asus bolsters Eee Box line with Celeron

Asus has bolstered its lacklustre Eee Box lineup with a new a Celeron-based model.
The new Eee Box B202 features a Celeron 220 processor instead of the Intel Atom found in its older brother, the B203.
Asus has also taken the opportunity to beef up the hard disk options in the new model, offering 120GB and 160GB versions, alongside the 80GB offered in previous versions.
Beyond storage and processor, the new Eee Box offers Wi-Fi, Ethernet, four USB ports, a flash card reader and DVI output. It runs on Windows XP.
Asus has yet to confim pricing of the new Eee Box, however, the Celeron is definitely a budget-minded processor and should come with a price drop.
The Eee Box is Asus's attempt to shakeup up the desktop market by offering a no frills box capable of offering the internet and basic functionality for £170. However, we were less than enamoured by the technology in our review, calling it "as slow and limited as a netbook, but without the portability."
