Former staff offer support for stranded Evesham customers

Former employees of Evesham Technology have set up a new company designed to offer technical support to customers of the now defunct PC maker.
Evesham customers have been left in limbo since the company was put up for sale by new owner and former Time Computers director Tahir Mohsan, back in February.
One of Mohsan's other companies, Total Care Support, was attempting to sell new warranties and offer paid-for support to ex-Evesham customers earlier this year, claiming it was no longer possible for Evesham to provide free support.
Now, former Evesham employees are offering an alternative to Mohsan's support firm. "We would like to concentrate on Evesham customers because most of them don't know who to turn to," Robin Daunter, managing director of the new firm, Tewktech, told PC Pro.
He claims Tewktech has intimate knowledge of the PCs and laptops that Evesham built over the years, and strong relationships with the component suppliers who were left out of pocket when Evesham collapsed. "Because we were part of Evesham, but not part of the top-level decisions, we didn't burn any bridges with the suppliers," he claims.
Tewktech's prices start from £30 per hour for residential customers within a 10-mile radius of the firm's headquarter in Tewksbury, although it also offers a return-to-base service.
