Google offers indexing on-demand

Google is offering businesses the opportunity to have their site indexed on demand to help readers find new content more easily.
The new add-on is for Site Search customers, who use the Google software for their website's internal search.
It's being pitched at companies with frequently updated product pages or new content that they want noticed immediately.
Until now, sites have had to wait until Google's spiders crawled their pages, which might only happen every few days for smaller sites.
Now, they will be able to submit a new sitemap to Google every time their site is updated with critical content, meaning they could appear on the search results within hours.
Crucially, however, new pages won't appear any faster on Google's own search engine, nor is it way to improve a company's search rank.
On-demand Indexing is a free add-on for Google Site Search customers.
