Sky delivers online TV service

Sky is launching an online subscription TV service that allows customers to watch its channels on a computer without taking the full Sky TV package.
Existing Sky TV customers can already use the platform to watch Sky channels, including Sky Sports and Sky Movies, and third-party channels such as National Geographic.
"Sky Player already gives more flexibility to Sky TV customers and soon BSkyB will offer some of the most popular pay TV channels through a standalone subscription to a secure online platform," says the company in a statement.
Sky last week agreed a deal with rival broadcaster Virgin Media to allow both parties to carry each others' basic channels.
It has also announced plans for a digital TV service, called Picnic, for customers who do not want a full Sky TV package.
