The phone was originally slated for a November release, but the revised date means UK customers keen to get their hands on Google's assault on the mobile market can do so in just two weeks.
The phone is sim-locked to the T-Mobile network and will only be available to users willing to sign up to the company's Combi and Flext price plans which begin at £40 a month. However, those that do won't have to pay extra for the handset.
The HTC-built handset features a slide out keyboard, a 3.2in 320 x 480 HGVA screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and all the usual connection options including Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth, as well as GPS.
The handset provoked a flurry of excitement prior to launch, however, our very own Jon Bray proclaimed himself distinctly underwhelmed by the phone when he got his hands on it, criticising its looks and inability to edit documents.
