Toshiba unveils netbook 11:34AM, Thursday 18th September 2008
Toshiba has become the latest company to throw its hat into the netbook ring, with the announcement of the NB100.

The netbook will follow Dell's lead and offer Ubuntu 8.04 preloaded, alongside the now standard Windows XP version.

Featuring an 8.9in 1204 x 600 screen, the NB 100 will be powered by a 1.6GHz Atom with either 512MB or 1GB of memory, and up to 120GB of capacity. All models will feature a 0.3-megapixel webcam, three USB ports, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Ethernet port.

Toshiba has yet to confirm the battery size, though it claims the netbook will run for a very precise three hours and 47 minutes.

The Toshiba NB100 will be available in October 2008. The price has yet to be confirmed.
