Tesco appears to have leaked details on a forthcoming Dell netbook on its website.
Described as the "Dell Inspiron Z530 1GB 12in Web Browser", the machine sports a meagre 40GB hard disk, Intel Atom processor and 1GB of memory.
In case any further evidence was needed that Linux hasn't quite reached the mainstream consciousness, the operating system is described as "Linux Ubunto" on the Tesco site.
Dell launched its Mini 9 netbook earlier this month, but made no mention of a 12in version. Nor is the laptop listed on Dell's own website.
Tesco has priced the 12in netbook at £299, which seems pretty competitive given that the Ubuntu version of the Mini 9 is priced at £269.
As our recent report shows, Tesco will probably undercut Dell on its own laptops anyway.
