Online office war hots up with Zoho Docs 7:59AM, Friday 5th September 2008
Online office suite, Zoho.com, has launched a new Docs feature that brings together all its various applications.

Like the Google service of the same name, Zoho Docs now allows you to read and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations from one central screen.

Previously, Zoho had been split into disparate Docs, Sheet and Show applications.

Zoho now offers a trick or two that Google's online office suite lacks. Multiple documents can now be uploaded at once as Zip files, helping to minimise data transfer times.

The suite also makes it simple to export documents in multiple formats, including PDF, HTML and ODF among others.

Perhaps most intriguingly of all, Zoho now allows you to sign in with your Google log-in, although this only appears to import your Google contacts, rather than any documents shared or created in Google Docs.

You can try Zoho Docs here or watch a video demo of the new features here.
