Dell has now unveiled its Inspiron Mini 9. Click here to find out more.
The rumour comes courtesy of Box.net, an online photo and document storage service, which emailed the Wall Steet Journal letting it know the new Dell Inspiron 910 Mini netbook will come bundled with its software and launch on Thursday.
There's been a great deal of buzz surrounding the Inspiron 910 ever since Michael Dell was spotted carrying one around a Dell event. Since then we've learned that the notebook will feature an 8.9in screen, Atom processor running at 1.6GHz, along with either 512MB or 1GB of RAM.
The laptop will only be available with an SSD, rather than a traditional hard disk, in 4GB, 8GB or 16GB capacities.
As with its rivals, users can opt for either Windows XP or Linux. The distribution has yet to be confirmed, but given the company's existing relationship with Ubuntu that seems the likely choice.
