Sony beams in new CliÚ
Posted on 23 Oct 2001 at 10:16
Sony's new CliÚ T415 handheld will boast an application that allows you to use the PDA as a remote controller for your TV, DVD and VCR players.
The CliÚ Remote Commander application allows users to control most currently-available home entertainment systems from up to 5m via infrared, with preset programs for many.
Expected to retail for around $300, the T415 uses Palm OS 4.1 and is just 0.39in thick with a 320x240 pixel monochrome display.
Sony is also launching a digital camera module in the form of a Memory Stick unit (PEGA-MSC1) for $150 that can then be viewed on the device using the PictureGear Pocket software.
UK pricing and availability was not available at the time of writing, but check out Sony/CliÚ for more details.
