Peerless at FireWire rates
Posted on 16 Aug 2001 at 12:47
Iomega's Peerless removable storage drive now comes with a FireWire interface.
FireWire (or IEEE1394 or iLink, as it's otherwise known) offers data transfer rates as great as 15Mb/sec when connected to a system with a FireWire 1394 PCI card.
The drives are both MacOS and Windows compatible. Currently retailing at £399 inc VAT for the USB and Firewire bundle, you can buy extra Base Stations for £269 - the 20GB disks cost £199 while the 10Gb disks cost £159.
