GUS bins Breathe 4:00PM, Tuesday 17th April 2001
They said it couldn't be done, and it couldn't. ISP Breathe, having been brought back from the dead by Great Universal Stores (GUS) has been readmitted to the dotcom has-been bin.

GUS bought the ailing ISP for £1.4m some three months ago, in order to make use of technology developed by the company for accessing the Internet via PCs and mobile devices within its own Web strategy. And having done just that, it had thrown what's left (the ISP) back on the heap, having decided that an ISP is just too expensive to run.

GUS claims that it has already been approached by potential buyers for Breathe, but selling it would mean handing back the technology it originally purchased it for.
