In practice it's a simple process: enter www.msn.co.uk into your browser and you'll be taken to a page offering to "Find My Location".
Microsoft's Live Search, the theory goes, then finds a local landmark or tube station. Then, you can view a local map, find your local pub, get driving directions and check the local weather.

"This is a great new service for mobile users," claims Hugh Griffiths, director of mobile at Microsoft. "[Find My Location is] perfect for everyday use and giving localised and relevant search results at the click of a button."
You can either access the service by heading to www.msn.co.uk on your phone's browser, or text "MSN" to 63463 and a link will be sent direct to your mobile.
The service is supported by all four of the major phone operators - O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone - and most mobile phones with a web browser should work.
