Typing English but reading French

Real time language translations of Web pages and e-mails should be possible with IBM's new WebSphere Translation Server. Even messages in chat forums could automatically cross a language divide.
Running on NT, AIX or Solaris, the software can translate up to 500 words a second and no special Web pages are required - all the conversion work is done on the server side. Connectivity plug-ins are available for the IBM WebSphere Application Server, Lotus Domino and Lotus Sametime.
The conversions supported by the Translation Server are as follows. There is bi-directional text translation between English and French, German, Spanish and Italian, and there is one-way translation from English to Chinese (both simplified and traditional), Japanese and Korean.
The IBM WebSphere Translation Server is scheduled to be available in March.
