The week in your words: ISP anger, Phorm fury and BBC
Posted on 4 Apr 2008 at 18:02
"Go kick some butt BBC, maybe Ofcom can step in and sort things out for the consumer... oh sorry was getting a bit carried away there," says bobbdobbs.
We should coco. cheysuli wasn't particularly pleased either.

"The ISP's charge their customers for '8Mb/sec broadband' either on a fixed quantity or 'unlimited' (a lie in most cases). They gamble that the bandwith they've taken money for won't be used and sell it again, oversubscribing the bandwidth they have. If customers (how dare they?) actually use their bandwidth that they paid for, why should anyone but the ISP pay? They gambled badly and lost. Either put the price up to cover increased usage, or shut the hell up whining!"
Triple ouch. See you next week.
