Fujitsu readies high-performance laptop drives 12:05PM, Tuesday 25th March 2008
Fujitsu has announced a new series of fast, high capacity hard drives for high-performance laptops.

The MHZ2 BJ series is a 7200RPM drive with a 320GB storage capacity - double the company's last 2.5inch model.

Fujitsu claims the series will only need 2.3W of power for read and write operations, making it one of the most efficient in its class.

The drive will support SATA 3, and ship with capacities of 80GB, 120GB, 160GB and 250 GB. Pricing was not disclosed.

The series goes on sale in June, with Fujitsu expecting sales of two million this fiscal year.

Pricing details are not yet available. Full specifications are available here.
