The XP machine we were testing featured 1GB of RAM and 4GB storage, and ran exceedingly well. Applications are responsive, even when Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player and other applications were running in the background.
However, we did find a couple of machines around the room displaying the familiar Windows

XP seems to work perfectly well within the confines of the 7in screen, and though the Start menu swamps half the screen when expanded, there are no problems with the fonts or scrollbars falling off the side of the screen.
The XP-bunded Eee PC does not feature Open Office, however, unlike its Linux counterpart. Instead users get the considerably less feature-packed Microsoft Works.
