What's coming up at CeBIT 2008?
Posted on 28 Feb 2008 at 17:08
CeBIT kicks off in Hannover next week and PC Pro will on the floor bringing you the latest from Europe's biggest technology tradeshow.
All the major players in the technology world will be in attendance, as well as the smaller companies hoping to get their innovative, quirky products into the spotlight.
We'll be covering both, discovering how Intel intends to revamp in-car technology, and taking a look at a robot called Zeno which its New Zealand creators say can express emotion and learn.
AMD will be looking to put its recent troubles behind it with rumours suggesting the much delayed, quad-core Phenom 9700 could make an appearance, along with its 9900 and 9100e models. Its triple-core Phenom 8400 and 8600 processors are also expected to take a bow.
CeBit 2007 brought us a plethora of powerline networking equipment, and this year's show looks set to continue the theme with German-firm Devolo promising to double current HomePlug speeds.
Linksys will be there too, and while tight lipped over its product announcements, reports suggest security is likely to top the agenda on its booth.
We'll be there for the full five days, covering keynotes, exhibitions and product demonstrations - keep checking this site for the latest news.
