Sony bringing back "wow factor" 2:10PM, Wednesday 12th December 2007
Sony claims it is back on track after completing the internal reorganisation demanded by CEO Howard Stringer after joining the electronics giant in 2005.

Speaking at Sony's headquarters in Tokyo, Stringer said that the company was over its financial problems and was again producing products that "bring back some of the wow factor".

He pointed to new networking features for the PlayStation 3, intended to expand the device beyond its core gaming functionality, though he did not give details on what other content the platform might eventually offer.

Stringer went on to say that the next step for the company was to begin innovating again, and suggested that early indications of this strategy were its new Rolly [pictured], a robotic portable music player that rolls, dances and flashes to the music, and production of its first OLED super-thin TV, a market Toshiba has recently pulled out of due to concerns over manufacturing costs.
