Google renews ad-deal with Ask
11:49AM, Tuesday 13th November 2007
IAC, owner of the Ask search engine, has announced a new five year deal with Google to provide Ask with sponsored search listings.
Google ads will also appear on IAC's other two dozen websites that supply services ranging from ticket sales, through financial news, to "college humour".
"It is just great that Ask.com has been able to extend its agreement with Google," says Barry Diller, IAC chairman and chief executive.
"They are clearly the market leaders and their remarkably efficient operation will greatly benefit Ask.com and our other internet properties."
Google has been providing sponsored listings for Ask since 2002, in a deal said at the time to be worth $100 million.
The financial terms of the new five-year agreement were not disclosed.
