The Chinese manufacturer has announced two products under the new "ThinkStation" label, the S10 and the D10, both aimed at professionals in industries such as oil and gas exploration, CAD and digital content creation.
The workstations are based on Intel's upcoming 5400 series Quad-Core Xeon processor and Intel Core2 Extreme processors, the first processors based on Intel's new 45nm fabrication technique.

However, he believes Lenovo's expected move into the consumer PC market next year will probably be more crucial to its growth, noting that while businesses represent about 70% of the PC market, the consumer market is the faster-growing segment.
The new computers will be available in January through Lenovo resellers and on its website. The S10 will retail for around $1,199 and the D10 around $1,739.
