Posted on 19 Sep 2007 at 12:55
Intel's twice-yearly Developer Forum is under way in San Francisco and PC Pro will be bringing you all the latest news as it happens from our team of reporters in the US.
The Intel Developer Forum (IDF) doesn't only give us the inside track on the latest processors and chipsets arriving from the labs of the world's biggest chip maker, but often sets the agenda for the entire computing industry.
This year, for example, we'll be finding out about developments with quad and octuple-core processors, Intel's move to 32nm fabrication technology as well as wider issues such as the arrival of the new USB 3 standard and the impending roll-out of the WiMAX wireless broadband network and its related devices.
The Forum also provides a unique opportunity to get hands-on with devices that are set to be launched in the coming months, including Asus's ground-breaking £100 laptop.
