Facebook may be the most talked about website at the moment - but rival social networking outfit Bebo is the UK's most popular, overtaking MySpace.
At least according to comScore, which counted more than 10.6 million unique visitors to Bebo in July. Facebook had just 7.6 million, but it is quickly catching up. Visitor numbers have increased by 366 per cent in the first six months of 2007 alone.
MySpace sits between the two sites with 10.1 million unique users and while its growth was eclipsed by Bebo and Facebook, it has still managed to add 25 per cent more users since January.
Bebo and MySpace each reach a third of UK net users over the age of 15.
"Social networking sites like Facebook and Bebo have shown phenomenal growth over the past six months - and should continue to do so as the 'network effect' gives them momentum," said Bob Ivins, EVP of International Markets at comScore.
