Microsoft prepares a six patch 11:10AM, Friday 6th July 2007
Microsoft will release six security updates on next week's Patch Tuesday, three of which address "critical" flaws.

"Critical" is Microsoft's most severe patch rating and usually refers to flaws that can exploited remotely, without any user intervention.

The three critical patches being launched next week address flaws in Windows 2000 Server, Excel 2000 and the .Net Framework.

There are also a couple of "important" fixes to holes in Publisher and XP Professional, and a "moderate" flaw to be addressed in Vista.

Tuesday's updates will also release an updated version of the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool. For full details of the July fixes click here.
