Beginning with the new ROKR Z6 (pictured) and Z6m, Motorola phones will be able to download and play tracks from Napster To Go's music catalogue of three million songs in return for a payment of $14.95 each month. This being a subscription service, however, if you stop paying the music stops playing.
As an incentive to sign up, Motorola handset owners will get one free month to start with.

In addition to the new ROKR models, Napster To Go should be compatible with any Motorola phone that supports Window Media DRM.
The decision to go with Napster means that Motorola has quietly abandoned its partnership with Apple. Although it has been selling iTunes-compatible phones for two years the reception has been unenthusiastic. In fact Apple's dissatisfaction with the experience is thought to have been a significant factor in its decision to release the iPhone.
