This new run of ads, currently showing on Apple's site (direct link below), plugs many gaps in the initial line-up, which was skewed very much towards the home user. While the six additions still play on the strength of iLife and other bundled consumer applications, they also cover general computing issues that are relevant both at home and at work.
Although it contains some unique additions, the UK Get a Mac campaign is an adaptation of a similar campaign run in the US, albeit with different actors, slightly localised scripts and a slightly longer running time - 40 seconds as opposed to 30. The US campaign, starring author John Hodgman as PC and actor Justin Long as Mac, ran to 23 instalments. The new additions to the UK string brings it to 12.
Mitchell and Webb are best known for their television work in the Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show. Robert Webb also appeared as Robin in The Smoking Room.
