Jeremy Parrott, 37, of Somerset, was quizzed after officers spotted the clip on the popular, Google-owned video sharing website. Parrott had mounted a video camera on his bike to give a 'riders' eye view' and recorded his entire journey from his house and back.
He claims that he has been treated like a 'sex offender' or 'bank robber' for offences when nobody was killed or injured, before attempting to deny that he was riding the bike.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset police said that Parrott faces the prospect of a long ban.
'This man was driving through a built-up area, past a housing estate and a school, at up to 100mph,' the spokesman said. 'There have been a number of incidents of people videoing themselves driving at excessive speeds in urban areas. They are putting their lives and the lives of other road users at risk.'
